You could also describe it as a fully-managed, real-time messaging middleware service that allows you to send and receive messages between independent applications.

About Google Pub/Sub integration connector

This is a Publish / Subscribe connector, which allows you to connect to the Google Cloud Pub/Sub. As its name suggests, it supports both triggers and actions, which means you can use it either to execute (subscribe) or to act upon (publish) a certain event.

It can be used in various scenarios, for example, you can subscribe to a downstream service in order to get notifications about each new user signup on a specific service. Follow the Documentation link above to find what you need to do to set it up.

Like with all other elastic.io connectors that are under the Apache license, you can clone it and enhance it yourself to include more functionalities out of the box. Alternatively, you can contact our pre-sales team at ps[at]elastic.io if you prefer our developers to extend the Google Pub/Sub integration connector for you.
